Benefits of Career Counselling

What do we do before buying anything or exploring a new place?

You are right!

We research and consult others before making the final decision.

Shouldn’t you do the same thing before taking the life-transforming decision of your life? Consultation with a good career counsellor is a must so that you can make the right move towards your professional journey.

Career planning is important in the current times and Career counselling is a process that helps you explore all the career options. Seek the advice of the people who know better than you and will guide you to steer your career.

A person who will help you in all aspects. The major question that comes to your mind after the 10th or 12th examination is- what career should I pursue? After all, there are so many options – here the need for career guidance is important as they help an individual to understand his strengths, and weaknesses and can help you to evade future regrets and indecisions to proceed ahead.

As earlier said, the right choice of career is imperative for all students as their entire life depends on it.

One wrong decision was made and it’s gone, no U-turn. So, do not blindly follow what others say or start a chase to become an engineer, just because you saw your engineer uncle make a lot of money.

While choosing the right career option, you have to keep your interest in consideration. An expert can understand your abilities, and check your aptitude, and your education level to guide you to make the right decision.

Your potential, talent, and knowledge will make your foundation strong for any career you choose. The Role of a career counsellor is to identify all these factors in you to show you the right path.

A student’s career begins in Class X where he/she opts for Science, commerce, or Humanities which is instrumental in his career choice. But often we see students doing mistakes here.

I have seen students taking science in school to do engineering. They do engineering and then pursue BBA and MBA later in college.

Do you think it’s the right choice?

I mean if someone wanted to do a management course later they could have opted for Commerce instead of science which would have helped him in making their foundation stronger in management subjects.

The reason this happens often is that most of the students don’t know what they want to do in life. By the time, they realize that they don’t like engineering, they would have already wasted 2-3 years of their lives.

  1. I like that you mentioned that being knowledgeable in various fields is the reason why it’s best to seek college counseling services. One of the problems of my son is that he is still undecided on what career to take after high school. Weighing out his interests with what’s in demand would be a good way for him to decide in an efficient way.
